Full Tummies

Marc and I got home from work last night, and didn't feel like cooking (what else is new, really). So we decided to go out for sushi. We went to downtown Pleasanton, but unfortunately, both of the sushi places there were closed on Monday. So no sushi. :( I've been really craving it too. Mmm...unagi...

So instead, we went to TGI Fridays. We ordered up the potato skins appettizer, and each had a burger. For dessert, we got the oreo ice cream sandwiches. Yummy! It was a LOT of food. Our waitress sucked.

After dinner we went to Best Buy to scope out what we were gonna buy with the $100 gift card we're getting from our credit card company. I showed Marc the video card I wanted. He asked me where I was going to get the other $80 from. I didn't have an answer. Fooey, I say.

So finally we got home, and I went upstairs and opened the door to our walk-in closet. Turned on the light, and I'm greeted with a "meow..." and a bleary-eyed Stubby. Yup, poor cat got locked up in the closet again all day. Amazingly, it didn't look like he destroyed anything in the closet. I'm not sure what he did all day. But the first thing he did when I let him out was go eat and poop.

Anyone watching "I Love the 90's" on VH1? It's kind of early for them to be reminiscing on the 90's already, but you gotta jump on the gravy train while it's running, I guess. It's still funny though, and the early ones have a lot of "I remember that!" moments. I'm such an addict for these series.

Also, I've been meaning to note this for some time, but my archiving system for this blog is borked right now. The sidebar only lists the entries for the current month, and going to the archive pages for each month gives you the last entry that month, but the sidebar is still only entries from the current month. I'm trying to find a way to fix it, but right now I'm clueless. So if anyone is familiar with Movable Type, pointers would be great.

I just took this test at selectsmart.com which shows how much you align with the various Presidential candidates. Overall my results weren't surprising, but I'm pretty surprised at how much I DON'T align with Bush. I expected it to be low, but 2% just makes me laugh.

1. Your ideal theoretical candidate. (100%)
2. Nader, Ralph - Independent (93%)
3. Cobb, David - Green Party (93%)
4. Moseley-Braun, Former Senator Carol, IL - Democrat (91%)
5. Clark, Retired General Wesley K., AR - Democrat (87%)
6. Dean, Gov. Howard, VT - Democrat (83%)
7. Brown, Walt - Socialist Party (83%)
8. Sharpton, Reverend Al - Democrat (76%)
9. Kucinich, Rep. Dennis, OH - Democrat (75%)
10. Gephardt, Rep. Dick, MO - Democrat (69%)
11. Kerry, Senator John, MA - Democrat (67%)
12. Edwards, Senator John, NC - Democrat (62%)
13. LaRouche, Lyndon H. Jr. - Democrat (44%)
14. Lieberman, Senator Joe, CT - Democrat (36%)
15. Badnarik, Michael - Libertarian (29%)
16. Hagelin, Dr. John - Natural Law (22%)
17. Peroutka, Michael - Constitution Party (12%)
18. Bush, President George W. - Republican (2%)

Okay, so every once in a while (emphasis on once in a while), I'm reminded of why I married Marc. So last night, when we came home from dinner, we each had a take-out box. Marc wrote a big "B" and a big "M" on our respective boxes. He thought it was funny.

Just now, I was pulling my box out of the plastic bag I brought it to work in, and I see this on my box:

It brought a big smile to my face. He's such a dork.
