Mad Scramble

| | Comments (1)

We spent all of last night scrambling to get last-minute things done for tonight's party. I was desperately trying to finish Bandit's costume (it's still not done, but it's passable), and Marc spent most of the evening decorating. I baked, and carved one of our big pumpkins. We have two, but it was midnight by the time I finished the first.

Hopefully we'll get home early enough today, because we still need to vacuum and mop. I'm going to try to carve the second pumpkin too.

I watched some of "The Apprentice" last night. Wow, Apex could not have come up with a worse advertising campaign. Bad, bad idea. I credit Elizabeth for at least recognizing that, but she was a horrible leader because she couldn't put her foot down and make a decision. Kevin did a really nice job trying to at least salvage the situation. I'm hoping he wins at this point.

This morning on the news they were talking about a seizure dog who called 911 when its owner fell out of her wheelchair. The dog knocked the phone off the hook, pressed the speed dial button for 911, and then barked into the mouthpiece. Then she even unlocked the front door when the cops arrived! MSNBC has an article here. You gotta love dogs.

Alright, off to start my busy day. Blech.
