Sheep?

Bandit's agility class got cancelled last night because of the rain, so instead we went to JoAnn Fabrics to look for something to make a sheep costume with. I found the perfect fleece-type fabric to make it with, and bought a yard. We then walked around the store, totally clueless on what kinds of thread and needles and other stuff I would need.

I started working on it right after dinner. Bandit wasn't the most cooperative model - every time I try to get him to stand still for something, he thinks I'm going to do something bad to him, so he'll roll over on his back as his little avoidance maneuver.

The body part was pretty easy to cut out, but getting the head/hood part was a nightmare. The first pieces I cut out were far too small. The second ones were much better, and I was able to put together some semblance of a hood. I had to google "how to hand sew," by the way, because I had no idea how to do a stitch. Apparently I still don't, because my stitches were the most god-awful ugly things. They did the job though (whether or not they'll hold up is another story).

Marc was laughing at me the whole time! :( I think he's very skeptical that this is going to turn out.

Anyways, it took me all night just to get those few things done - hopefully I can get most of the rest done tonight. I'm actually pretty excited about it. I'm gonna take pictures as I go along.
