I've got so much work to do on this site, it's not even funny. I really need to just strap myself down in front of the computer for a day and get it all done. There's just so little free time these days. Wednesday night I had agility, and last night I had kitty clinic. I think I must have vaccinated 15 cats last night.
We're back from Maui! It feels like we've been gone forever, but at the same time, it didn't feel like nearly long enough. We took a red-eye flight out on Monday, and got in Tuesday morning. My dad was nice enough to pick us up, and we went to my parents' house to pick the dogs up. They were pretty excited to see us, although it sounded like they had a fun time playing with Harvey.
Sheesh, even my dad isn't on my side! ;P
Last night Marc and I went to go see the Giants game. Marc had gotten free tickets from work, and it just happened to be Barry Bonds' first night back after being out all year. So that was pretty cool. He nearly hit a home run in his first at-bat, and the crowd went crazy (a fan stuck his glove out and interfered with the ball, so it ended up being ruled a ground-rule double. Looking at replays though, I think it would've hit the wall anyways. The fan was ejected though - stupid idiot).
Okay, I'm probably a bad football fan for even thinking this, but here's my dilemma. I bought Cal-USC tickets right when they went on sale, and bought 4 of them for face value - $45 each. They sold out in like one day, and I looked on Stub Hub and they're going for $230 - $525 each!
Okay, I've got a class here at work in a few, so I'm just going to quickly update with some of the pictures I took at Tahoe. I didn't have time to do a lot of them, and the gallery (along with the rest of the site) still hasn't been converted, so these will have to do for now.
It's still pretty shocking to me to see what's going on in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. I can't believe that the death toll in New Orleans may be in the THOUSANDS. It's unimaginable, what those people must be going through right now.
This morning, on our way to work, Marc says to me:
"You know, maybe you wouldn't think you need to diet if we didn't go to Rigatonis (Italian restaurant) once a week."
"Are you saying I'm FAT???"
"No, I'm saying that you have the PERCEPTION that you are, because we go there so often."
"Sure, whatever. I like how you brought that up after looking at my gut."
So, I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to diet for Hawaii. I need to look good in a bikini, and currently I don't. I don't think that eggwich this morning was a good idea.
Sigh.
