Busy Weekend

| | Comments (1)

We were pretty busy this weekend. Friday we didn't do much though, I think we just ended up watching Batman Begins on DVD. We also went to Good Guys, which is closing a bunch of stores, and I got a sports case for my iPod Shuffle for 30% off.

Saturday we got up early, but Jan was sick, so we ended up not having a herding lesson. So instead, Marc and I went to the Pleasanton fairgrounds, which was hosting a dog show. I'm not really into conformation, so we just watched the agility trials.

Lorie was running a few dogs, and our old instructor Dorothy was there too. We actually ran into her and chatted a bit, but I don't think she remembered us, lol.

We did a little shopping at the booths afterwards - bought a Border Collie calendar for next year, and I got a really nice tug leash for Bandit. I wanted to get a pair of Muck Lucks too, but they were a bit pricey at $89.

Then we went to Macy's to look for a purse for me, but I always have the hardest time picking them out. Except for the expensive ones, I always manage to find one of those I like right away. I couldn't decide on one, so I went home without a new purse.

I ended up skipping my riding lesson, and in the afternoon one of the couples showed up to pick up Louie and Dewey. I actually cried a little when they were gone. My little cuties!

Then we went to Steve and Erin's to babysit while they went out for their anniversary dinner. That went pretty smoothly, except when Marc went and got McDonald's for us for dinner. The kids had already eaten, so when Allison came over and asked for McDonalds, we told her that she couldn't because she'd already eaten. A few minutes later, we found her in the upstairs bathroom just bawling! She was fine after a few fries though, hehe.

(Note to self: don't eat McDonald's in front of kids. In fact, just don't eat McDonald's anymore.)

(Note to reader: Marc and I actually almost never eat McD's these days, but they have the Monopoly game going on, and I just can't resist collecting 999 St. James Ave. game pieces.)

After Steve and Erin got home, Steve went with us to the Pirates of Emerson haunted house in Fremont. It was good, but not nearly as scary as it used to be. I think they cut back on the number of people that pop out at you, and that's too bad, 'cause that's the best part.

After that, Marc and I stopped by my parents' place to see my Aunt Mercia, who's visiting from Houston.

And all the while, the Cal game is going on. Thank goodness we won, or this season would've really been in the crapper. Nice to see Ayoob throw some crisp passes for TDs.

Sunday morning Bill and Brenda and Hayden came up to our place to hang out and go for a bike ride. Kenny came up also, with my old mountain bike. We didn't go on a very long ride, but it's been a month since we last went, so we weren't in the best of shape. There was a hill that was absolutely killer. Kenny and I were both totally out of breath and had to sit down. I said I felt like puking, and then Kenny actually puked.

We had sandwiches for lunch, and then went back to the house because the other family was picking up Peanut and Huey. And there went all my babies! The lady actually asked me if I was going to be okay - I must have had this stricken look on my face as we were putting them in the carrier.

We hung out and played some games on the Gamecube, and then had Rigatoni's for dinner. Everyone went home after that, and we were stuck doing chores the rest of the night. Fun!
