Happy Halloween!

It figures that Bush would choose Halloween to introduce a Supreme Court nominee that's truly frightening. Snerk.

While I'm generally tired of politics these days, the nominees are still interesting to me just because they're so damn important. Alito strikes me as a worst-case scenario. It doesn't really surprise me though - I thought after Miers got pushed out, Bush might cave to the far-right wing of his party.

Anyways, enough about politics. It's too much stress for a Monday morning.

We had a pretty fun, easy-going weekend. Marc and I went to see Prime on Friday night, which was pretty cute and funny. The guy in it was pretty hot too.

Saturday morning we had to take our foster cat to the vet, because she developed some fluid where her incision had been from her spay. Right after that we rushed over to sheep herding, which we hadn't done for a few weeks. Got some good work in, I think, and even got to try penning for the first time, which went pretty smoothly, but I think it was more due to the sheep practically penning themselves.

Then it was off to the vet again, because Snuggles was having bloody diarrhea and was also vomiting. We walked out with a bag of horse pills and $100 poorer.

I was supposed to go riding that afternoon, but was feeling lazy (again) and a bit worn from our schedule, so I skipped it. We did a little shopping instead (I bought a purse), and then cleaned up the house.

Cynthia and her boyfriend and my brothers came over that night and we carved pumpkins. Marc and I were too lazy to throw a party this year. Kenny actually made his own design, which was the Cal-bear-claw logo, which turned out really well and looked pretty cool.

My pumpkin was so massive, that my design ended up looking really tiny in comparison. I took a bunch of pictures, which I'll put up as soon as I get all the others up too. :)

On Sunday, Marc went to the Niners game, and I slept in until noon. I went shopping with Elaine in the afternoon, then went to meet up with Marc and Melanie and Henry for dinner. We went to the haunted house afterwards, and it was much better than the last time we went. I actually got scared a bunch of times, and totally freaked out when someone grabbed my leg.

We have three big bags of candy at home for the ONE child that will probably show up at our door tonight. We probably didn't even need to buy candy, but you know, any excuse to get it for ourselves. ;)
