Happy Early Birthday!

Happy early birthday to Marc! He turns 30 tomorrow - I'm married to an old fart.

Gap Sucks

Well, not really, cause I still shop there. But back in college, I think it was my sophomore year, I worked there for a little while. One of the worst jobs I ever had. The only good thing about it was the discount.

But seriously, standing there for four hours saying, "Hi, welcome to Gap!" and "Bye, thanks for shopping at Gap!" while folding the same stupid shirt over and over again was the most mind-numbing task in the world. And dealing with the bitches in the fitting rooms wasn't much better either.

Anyways, one thing they made us do there was wear Gap clothes. And it had to be that season's clothes, stuff the customer could buy. We had to buy the clothes ourselves, Gap didn't provide it. One time, this girl came in, and she was wearing pants from the spring (I think it was winter at the time). She lived in Oakland, and the store was in Newark. They made her GO HOME AND CHANGE.

So anyways, I still get some mail at my parents' house, but I rarely pick it up, because most of it is unimportant. But recently, I picked up a whole bunch, and there was a letter in there from an attorney that was months and months old. It turned out that they had filed a class-action lawsuit against Gap for forcing employees to buy their clothes, and I was eligible for recompensation. But because it was so old, I totally missed the deadline. That'll teach me to not pick up my mail, dammit.
