Pizza!

Our new foster cat finally seems to be kicking the URI. She's not nearly as snuffly as she was when we first got her, and she's a lot more perky and eating a lot better now.

Of course, now she has raging diarrhea.

Marc and I carpooled home from work, took care of the pets, and then went to vote. Took us all of 5 minutes, as there was no line to speak of (as we left, Marc cracked, "We will terminate your propositions!" in his best Ah-nuld voice).

Marc wanted to go to this pizza place up in Danville for dinner. He thought he knew where he was going, but after about 15 minutes of driving, I told him that maybe we passed it. He said he didn't think so. Then I saw this 7-eleven, which I thought looked really familiar. It turns out that was because it was the one RIGHT BY OUR HOUSE. We had managed to drive in one gigantic circle all the way back home.

We figured out that we'd taken the wrong exit, so we drove another 15 minutes and finally ended up at the right place. Thankfully - for Marc's sake - the pizza's pretty good there.

Lastly, Deepali's blog reminded me of this - Kansas continues to lead the nation in stupidity. Someone needs to teach these people the definition of scientific theory. Although they'd probably just redo the definition of science if you did. Oh wait, they did that already.

I have no problem if you believe in Creationism - I don't, but I'm fine with people having a certain faith. But it has no place in our public education system. Nor does twisting the definitions of science and scientific theory to suit personal religious motivations. Until you can test it and back it up with evidence, as is done with evolution, it has no place in science class. I can't even begin to express how much this drives me crazy.

On the bright side, my iPod Nano finally got approved, so hopefully I'll get it in time for my England trip. I booked my tickets yesterday, and I get to fly business class! Woot!

1) I want to try this pizza place. LOL!

2) You expressed how I felt about the Kansas issue far better than I could. That's it exactly.

:(

Isn't it strange that SCIENTISTS cannot be the influence for a SCIENCE class? How does that make sense?

I think it's called Ascona's Pizza Company - I think it's their crust that stands out.

And I thought you were more eloquent that I, lol. I always let my emotions get the better of me. To me, "Intelligent Design" is just creationism wrapped in fancy paper to try to make it easier to sneak into the public school system.
