It's good to be back home!
I flew in Saturday evening, after an 11 hour flight. It wasn't a bad flight, but I think business class makes a world of difference. I think I probably slept about 5 hours. I watched the Wallace and Grommit movie, which was really good! I also watched the end of The Island (I only managed to see the first half on the flight in), as well as the end of A Beautiful Mind and A Good Woman, which was some period piece with Helen Hunt.
We actually finished our work there a day early, so on Friday we went to London, and shopped at Harrods for an entire afternoon. That place is HUGE. I didn't realize it was just one giant department store. It's 6 stories, and it has all the usual department store stuff, plus furniture, a food market, and a pet store. They had dog collars and jackets made by Burberry! The collars were 99 pounds (almost $200). The jackets were around $300. Crazy.
Most of the stuff in there was pretty expensive. The prices look reasonable at first, until you realize that it's actually about double that. I bought a few things to take home. We walked around there for 4 hours, but I had a TON of fun. ;)
I stayed at the Sheraton in London, which was a considerably larger room than the one in Cambridge, and had a nice, big bed.
Anyways, Saturday after I got back, I went home and took a shower, and then we went to have dinner with my brothers for their birthday. We hung out at my parents' house afterwards for cake and played Trivial Pursuit Pop Culture.
I did pretty much nothing Sunday, except nap and watch TV. Which was fine with me!
