New Camcorder

It was on sale for $200 off, which brought it down into our price range. In researching camcorders, it seems like the ratings just go higher as the price goes higher. There's nary a camcorder at a reasonable price that rates super high, at least not that we found. Funny how that works.

Marc played with the camcorder a bunch, to the point where he managed to actually drain the whole battery, so I guess the battery life isn't that great. We may have to purchase a spare. I think it actually uses the same battery as my Rebel XT. I wanted to buy a spare for that too, so we may end up swimming in Canon batteries.

At one point, Marc was recording while Bandit was squeeking his toy in the background. When he went to play it back on the TV, you could hear the squeek toy loud and clear. Bandit heard it, and the look on his face was priceless. His ears were pointed straight up, and he kept looking around the room, trying to figure out who was playing with his toy. It was driving him nuts.

Anyways, this should be a fun toy to play with, especially with the holidays coming up.
