Valentine's Day

| | Comments (1)

Marc bought me 2 dozen of these and had them delivered to my work! :)

We had a really nice Valentine's Day dinner. We went to Hap's, which is a steak/seafood place in Pleasanton that Steve and Erin had recommended. The food was awesome - we both had the Kobe beef ribeye, which was way too expensive, and I had the lobster bisque, which was very yummy. For dessert we shared a chocolate souffle. It was really amazing food, and definitely the most expensive meal we've ever had.

I got Marc a bike computer and a biking shirt for his present. I was going to get him a shredder, because he really wants one, but my coworker said no way could I buy him a shredder after he bought me 2 dozen roses.

Coffee

So I was waiting in line at the coffee shop yesterday, and the young guy, Mike, was making coffee for some people ahead of me in line. The owner, James, was working the register. After the people ahead of me were done paying, James looks at me and says, "White mocha?" To which I reply, as usual, "No, just regular please."

What's funny is that right at that moment, Mike is standing behind James listening to this exchange with a big smile on his face, and he deftly puts the cup of regular mocha he'd already made on the counter for me.

Of course, since James was working the register, I paid $3.25 for my mocha. But this morning it was just Mike and I paid $2.75 again, hehe.

HDTV

Well, we ended up exchanging our DVD player for a different one, and now the picture is a lot better. So it's pretty cool now! DirecTV is supposed to come out sometime this month to install our new dish, so that will be neat to see.

Miscellaneous

The other day I bought some video capture/editing software on a whim, only to come home and check out some reviews and find out that it's horrible software. Bleh. So now I have to return it and find something better.

My little nano tank at work is doing pretty well so far. My clown goby is still alive and he's starting to fatten up a bit. I love it!
