Sad and Fun Weekend

Marc also worked a half day, and we did some shopping and ran some errands in the afternoon. We were busy, but it was kind of nice just being off work early.

Some sad news on the fishy front. My yellow goby at work suddenly died, and I think it may be because one of my corals also died, which probably nuked the tank water. Thankfully, everything else in there seems to be doing okay so far. I won't be getting a new fish until I do a couple water changes in there.

Even sadder, our black clownfish finally died. His popeye got better, but he never regained his appetite. Sigh. I hate losing fish.

Saturday we had a party for my birthday. We brought home Chevy's for dinner, and then hung out and played some games after. We got an ice cream cake from Cold Stone that was pretty yummy - chocolate chocolate chip with raspberry sauce. Yum! My parents even stopped by for a bit.

All the kids wanted to see Nemo, so I had to take them upstairs to see the two clownfish (the black one didn't die until Sunday morning), and then had to explain to them why Dory and Nemo didn't get along. ;) Allison was really cute, she kept calling Dory "Dorothy."

Sunday was a totally lazy day for us. We slept in, went to a fish store to check out some stands and canopies for our future tank, did a few other things, and then napped in the afternoon. VERY lazy day.
