I gotta finish wolfing down my sandwich here and be back in the lab in 10 minutes, so this will be a quickie.
Hammy passed away over the weekend. This is probably going to sound funny, but she died from constipation. Her water bottle had fallen off her cage, and I didn't notice it for at least a day. By then, her belly was already all swollen up. I checked on the web, and all the symptoms pointed to constipation, and it said hamsters needed to be seen by vets ASAP for constipation or they would die.
She was still eating and drinking, so I wasn't sure what to do. Marc wasn't too keen on the idea of taking a hamster to the vet. So I called Elaine (who is a vet), and asked her if she knew anything about it. She said they rarely saw hamsters, and if they did, by that time it was usually bad news. So she told me to try feeding her some veggies, which I did.
Unfortunately, she died the next day. Hammy was already over 2 years old, and dwarf hamsters typically only live 2-3 years, so I guess she was getting old anyways. But I was surprisingly more upset about it than I'd expected.
Not much more going on, except that I wish the rain would stop already. No clownfish babies yet. As for the house, we're working with a pair of agents now (they used to be reporters for NBC 11, hehe), and they're gonna help us "stage" our house so that it looks nice and attractive. :)
Okay, my 10 minutes are up!

Poor Hammy! :(
Stage your house? But it already looks so nice! And so clean! Even your garage ... I'm in constant amazement whenever I visit.
Hee, will this be like that TV show ... Sell this house?
Sorry about Hammy Bonz. :(
