Hooray!

It looks like we may have a new house!

We put in an offer on Sunday on the house we really liked but felt we had no chance on - we bid exactly the asking price, and despite there being another offer, they accepted ours, and with no counter offer! Marc and I couldn't believe it, as we thought for sure that they were going to counter with a higher price.

I'm excited, but I'm pretty nervous now as well. We still have to sell our house (there's been strong interest, but no offers yet), and now I'm thinking of all the what-ifs and such. The house itself is really perfect, it practically has everything we're looking for. The yard, again, isn't huge, but it's definitely bigger than what we have now, and a lot more reasonable for dogs. I would've loved a big sprawling yard, but it's hard to find that and a house that we liked and could afford. Land these days ain't cheap.

Anyways, cross your fingers that we get an offer on our house this week, or at least soon! It's a nerve-wracking time for us now. ;)

Weekend

Saturday we went to my coworker Peter's wedding in Palo Alto. The ceremony was at Stanford Memorial Church, and was lovely. We were late, but it turned out that the ceremony didn't start until a half-hour after the time on the invitation, so we ended up being early.

There was a 3-hour gap between the ceremony and the reception, so we hung out with Leslie at the mall and at his apartment during that time. The reception was fun! We sat with a bunch of my coworkers and had a good time.

Sunday we went to SF for Kenny's graduation from UC Hasting Law. It's hard to believe he's going to be a lawyer. But I'm proud of him! We went to dinner afterwards to celebrate.

The whole weekend felt like one busy blur!

WOW on the house! That's awesome that they accepted your first offer even w/ the price being dropped! Good luck on selling your house..... although who wouldn't buy a house with cool beans and peppers on plates in the dining room? C'mon!

LOL - aren't the beans and peppers weird? Although, they are gone now, because the peppers started going bad. We replaced them once, but Marc has since refused to replace them anymore.

And well, beans look stupid by themselves.

that's right...you had fun at the reception because I was there ;)
As for the house....woohoo. I'll keep my fingers crossed! Very exciting!!!!
