I am Boring

| | Comments (0)

I think my blogs are getting boring (unless, that is, they are not getting that way, but have been that way for some time). It's hard to be clever every day. I guess that's why I'm not a comic strip writer.

Unless we're talking about the guy who writes "Rex Morgan, MD." Am I the only one who doesn't get the point of that one at all?

I think part of the problem is that I'm so sleep deprived these days, that most of the time I'm awake it's spent in a walking daze. Hey, I rhymed. I really need to start getting more sleep.

Last night was fun, I took Bandit to agility class. I brought my camera with me too, since it was a nice, sunny evening. Of course, I didn't get around to uploading the pictures, but I'll try tonight. That's part of my problem too, I need more pictures.

I also put in the order for the new fish tank stand and canopy. It's going to have a black lacquer finish, and will have flush doors. Should be really nice, albeit massive. I pretty much have most of the materials/equipment I need now, except for the sump, which I'm debating on whether to make myself, or to have someone make it. It's considerably cheaper to make it myself, but it requires working with acrylic, something which I have no experience in. The guy who built our tank was nice enough to agree to send me some scrap pieces for me to practice on.

Sharks got eliminated last night, which was not too surprising, as they've played like shit lately. On a brighter note, the Giants did complete their 3-game sweep/shellacking of the Astros.

American Idol and LOST (DON'T READ THIS CYNTHIA)

Well, I'm bummed about Elliot, although I'm not really surprised. It's surprising he lasted this long, really. I feel so meh about the other two, that I'm not sure if I'll even bother to watch the finale. Not that it matters, as I think Chris will be more successful than whoever ends up winning, if he plays his cards right.

As for "LOST," I swear this show kills me sometimes. Being a long-suffering "X-Files" fan, I'm no stranger to frustration, but it still slays me. And "LOST" sometimes is like those bad thrillers/horror movies where nobody tells anyone anything, and no one ever asks the obvious questions.

I mean, why does no one think to ask Michael exactly why only FIVE of them can go? Jack at least makes the assertion that they'll need all the manpower they can get, but then ultimately leaves it up to Michael as to who goes? Say what? I don't care if it's his son that's missing, that doesn't necessarily mean he knows the best way to get him back. He's acting weird, and no one seems to notice, until thankfully, Sayid does. Thank God for Sayid.

I did love the episode though, even if it had me screaming at the TV at times. The Sawyer-Jack scene was funny ("We got 'caught in a net'"). Eko is creepy with his new-found obsession with the button (is he never moving from that seat now?). And poor Hurley.

Season finale next week! Eek!
