I had a whole long blog written up, and then I clicked on a link in an e-mail, which loaded onto this page, and promptly erased everything. Grr. I hate Outlook. I'm sure there is an option to change it so it launches a new IE window, but I've never been able to find it.
Anyways, I really don't feel like writing all that out again.
The long and short of it was that I was gone from Wednesday to Friday for a work-related meeting in Connecticut, which is why I didn't write at all. I don't think I'll be scheduling anymore 6 am flights, as that was pretty grueling. We nearly missed our flight out on Friday morning - we left the hotel at 4 am, but it took us longer to get there and get the rental car returned than I thought it would, and we got to the gate just in time. We were the last three to board, and as I was walking down the tunnel, the guy who took my boarding pass ran after me and asked, "Ms. Edwards? Are you traveling with these ladies?" (referring to my coworkers). I said yes, and he nodded and left. I don't know what that was all about, maybe I look suspicious or something.
Anyways, Connecticut was pretty cool, although the mugginess was hard to get used to. It's a really pretty state. Our hotel was really nice, and situated right on a marina, so the views were great. After our meeting, my coworkers and I drove around for a bit - we ended up in a town called Mystic, which apparently is the home of both the Mystic River and Mystic Pizza.
I also saw many Dunkin' Donuts stores, which I desperately wanted to stop at, but there wasn't really a good time to.
Over the weekend I slept a lot. We did finally get a solid offer on our house, and the buyers signed the paperwork this weekend. They still have a week to back out without a penalty, so I'm not getting too excited just yet. Right now Marc and I are planning on moving into the new house on the 22nd, and then we can get started on some of the work we wanted to do (floors, paint, fish room). I'm pretty excited about that!
Okay, I think that covers most of what I wrote the first time. Now to catch up on work!
