Packing!

| | Comments (1)

I really don't have anything exciting to say about packing, other than that we're behind on it, but I couldn't think of what to title this.

Marc and I went and signed a bunch of papers yesterday, and the plan is to move next Thursday. It's funny how clueless I am when it comes to all the loan stuff - payments, closing costs, etc. I just really can't be bothered to figure it all out, so I totally depend on Marc to know what's going on. If I weren't married, I would so be renting right now.

I stopped by my parents' house this morning, and my mom told me that my dad went and bought a new flat-screen TV (he wanted it in time to watch the World Cup - my dad is a huge soccer fan). It's pretty sweet looking. My mom was against buying one, so she joked (I think) that she's not going to talk to my dad for a month. Which is funny coming from my mom, who bought two cars (granted, one was for me) without telling my dad about it. The new TV is in the family room, and my mom gestured at the couch and said, "Now he's never going to leave that thing."

Was reading a friend's blog, and apparently there's some new ring tone that kids are using for cell phones these days. Supposedly kids can hear it, but adults can't. You can hear it (or not) here. I can hear it fine, but none of my coworkers have been able to so far, and they're about my age. I would hesitate to call it a ring tone - it sounds more like a dog whistle.

I can tell there's a really high-pitched ringing noise, maybe like when your ears ring a little bit. Kind of an annoying sound. I would hate to be around too many people who used that "ring tone."
