My day got off to an inauspicious start this morning. Marc's did too, for that matter.
I woke up this morning with either the worst stomach ache or the worst cramps. I couldn't tell which, just that it was the worst. Marc got up at 4 am, and couldn't go back to bed. He had gone to bed early last night because of an impending migraine, so I guess his body had decided that he'd had had enough sleep. I got woken up briefly because Bandit immediately jumped into Marc's spot in bed.
Then, after my shower, I went to blow dry my hair. I plugged the dryer in, and it started on its own - the switch was in the "OFF" position. Next thing I know, there's smoke coming out of the handle. I unplug it, check the switch, and plug it in again. It turns on again, and this time I hear a little "poof" and then there's more smoke. So now I'm stuck with damp hair this morning.
Marc's morning got even better as he cut himself shaving, and the cut wouldn't stop bleeding. I think it was still bleeding even as we got to his work.
Maybe it's all karmic payback for what happened with me yesterday. Which was pretty funny.
I was at work, and I was walking into the bathroom just as another lady was leaving it. When I walked in, it reeked - like really reeked. I was like, "whoa, that lady really did a number in here."
I stepped into the first stall, and the smell was so strong that I went, "BLUGH!" and went to a different stall. It wasn't much better there. So I tried holding my breath.
It was hard to do that and pee at the same time, so I exhaled loudly, and tried breathing through my mouth, going, "Wheee whoooo wheeee whoooo."
Just as I was finishing up, I hear the sound of toilet paper being pulled out in the stall next to me. Oops!
I didn't think anyone was still in the bathroom! They were in the handicapped stall, and it's hard to tell if anyone's in there. Plus, they had been quiet the entire time.
So I quickly washed my hands and skedaddled out of there. Hee hee.

Doh! (in regards to the bathroom incident, although I suppose it is appropriate for the rest of your and Marc's mornings, as well!)
