We had a special pickup this morning - basically you can fit as much junk as you can in a 9'x4'x5' space, and the garbage people will take all of it. So Marc and I riffed through the garage and pulled out everything and anything that needed to be thrown away.
We pretty much filled up the amount of space we were allowed - we had so much junk! The garage still looks full, but I think once we start moving stuff around to where they belong (which we haven't been able to do because of all the crap), it will look better.
We also sold our couches! The family that bought them wasn't able to pick it up until 11:30 last night, so we were up LATE. But we were glad to get them out of the house, because now our living room actually looks normal.
They finally moved my mom out of ICU, and she's eating solid foods again. There still seems to be some hemolysis and platelet clumping in her blood, so the doctors may be trying other treatments to stop it. They STILL don't know what the root cause is. But at least she's sitting up, eating, and talking.

Does anyone get as anxious about games as I do? I remember I used to be so superstitious about Giants games - if they were winning, I literally would sit in the same position the entire game, because if I moved, they might lose. I once hugged a damn teddy bear for a whole game because I happened to be holding it when someone hit a home run.
Saturday is going to be nerve-wracking!
