Tired of Hospitals

For some reason, she's been having a recurrence of anemia and thrombocytopenia (platelet loss). She was in the hospital for it back in December, and while they were able to immediately treat it with a transfusion, they weren't able to figure out what was causing it.

This time she had a bad reaction to the first transfusion, and now she's been in the hospital longer than we expected. They've thankfully been able to successfully give her subsequent transfusions, but they're running so many tests, and there's so many other things going on, that she's been kept in the ICU and under sedation, mostly as a precautionary measure.

The good thing is that her blood levels are responding to treatment, and her vitals are good. They still haven't found the root cause of her condition though. It's just been tough seeing her sedated and hooked up to all sorts of IVs.

Anyways, other than that there hasn't been much going on. Marc and I are going to watch the Giants game tonight after we stop by the hospital. Also, I guess Pluto is not a planet anymore, which is sort of sad, I guess.
