I kick-started our weekend by taking Bandit sheep herding on Friday, where it was very cold and windy. It got dark early too, which marks the time of year when we switch our lessons back to Saturday mornings. Bandit had a good 'ol time as usual - he LOVES to work the sheep.
Marc and I went to Blockbuster, but couldn't find a good movie to watch, so we just went home and played some NCAA 07 on the XBox, where I soundly kicked his butt.
Saturday morning I got up at 8 am so that I could order tickets for the Cal-Stanford Big Game. I then went back and slept for another 3 hours, hehe.
Marc and I went out for lunch and then went to pick up our new coffee table. We bought it from Macy's, so we had to go to the Union City outlet to pick it up. It barely fit in the Rav4. We had to take it out of the box and turn it up on its side to get it in. Even then it was a tight squeeze. I don't think we thought it was quite so big.
After we got the coffee table set up, I sat down to enjoy the Cal game while Marc went to run a couple errands. I only got to watch the first half, but that's when all the good stuff happened anyways. It was most enjoyable, as Cal totally put the beatdown on Portland State (granted, it was only Portland State, but it was still fun). By the end of the first half, Tedford started playing 2nd and 3rd stringers, and the scoring pretty much stopped. They won the game 42-16.
We then went over to Steve and Erin's house to babysit the kids while they went to a wedding reception. Marc and I were downstairs playing with the kids while Steve and Erin finished getting ready to leave. Erin came downstairs to get something from the laundry room, and while she was in there, Jacob turned to us and said:
"Did you know that Mommy's having a new baby?"
Marc and I were like, "Huh? What?" We had a feeling that he was not exactly supposed to say that!
But it's true, we're going to be an aunt and uncle again! Erin was waiting for Steve to come down so they could both tell us, but Jacob beat them to the punch. It was hilarious, he was so excited he spilled the beans.
We took the kids to dinner, and were trying to decide where to go. We ended up deciding on Fuddruckers, and when I told them where we were going, Allison yelled, "We're going to Fu-uckers!" Oops.
We had a big 'ol tickle/wrestling match with the kids when we got home. Marc let out this big burp at one point, and Allison went, "OH MY GOOOOSH!" and covered her mouth in shock and amusement. Too cute.
Sunday morning we slept in, and really didn't do much. I watched the Niners game on TV with Marc, and then we spent the rest of our day either bumming around or doing chores. We did manage to get all the legs for the fish tank stand cut. It was pretty easy to do with the miter saw. I think tonight we'll try to cut the rest of the wood.
We did break down and give each other our anniversary presents early (our anniversary isn't until Friday). I ordered a Little Giant ladder for Marc - something he has been asking for for a long time (don't ask me why). It was either that or the NFL Sunday Ticket, but I wasn't sure if he watched enough football to make it worth the cost. His gift to me was a new Coach purse! This is the first really "nice" purse that I've ever had, so I'm excited!
Anyways, congrats to Steve and Erin! I couldn't think of a better way for us to find out, hehehe.
