Had a pretty busy, but fun, weekend.
Well, Friday we didn't do much of anything, because Marc was working late, and I didn't have sheep herding. So I spent a good part of the evening working on the fish tank stand - mostly drilling pocket holes in all the posts ad nauseum. It was a tedious and boring job.
Saturday we slept in a little bit, but got up early enough to clean the house, and go to Bed Bath and Beyond to buy a bunch of stuff with our 20% off coupon. I listened to the Cal/OSU game on the radio while cleaning (it wasn't on TV anywhere). It was pretty much a blowout by the half, so that's when we went shopping. (Cal won, 41-13.)
That evening, we had dinner with our real estate agents - they came by to check out the house, and we took them out to dinner and we hung out afterwards.
We got up early Sunday, and Marc and I cut the plywood for the base of the fish tank stand. Marc then left to meet up with a friend for lunch and the Giants game. I stayed home and finished gluing and screwing the plywood to the base frame we built. I took some pictures, so I'll have to post those tomorrow. Tonight I'm hoping to have some time to start attaching the legs to the base.
In the afternoon, I drove to pick Marc up at the Caltrain station in Mountain View, and we drove together to Shoreline to catch the John Mayer/Sheryl Crow concert. It was great! I've always wanted to see Sheryl Crow live, so it was pretty cool. I hope I look that good when I'm in my 40's. John Mayer was good too - great guitar riffs. It was a looong concert - it started at 6:30 and didn't end until 10:30.
Needless to say, we got home late, exhausted, and deaf. Marc and I didn't carpool this morning, so I slept in a bit. I was like a zombie driving into work this morning. I hate walking into my building on mornings like these, because I swear I must look like I was dragged into work.
But it was a good weekend, 'cause I felt like we actually accomplished stuff!
Tomorrow I shall blog about my feet.
