Crazy

Sorry to have not blogged much this week, but things have been crazy at work. I haven't been in the office much at all, so there hasn't been time to blog. Things have been kind of hectic at home too.

Our house is still in disarray, as the kitchen cabinet doors are all strewn around on the kitchen floor. We haven't had a chance to even touch them since the weekend. We did, however, manage to get the first coat of paint on the walls for the fish room. It didn't quite cover completely, so I think we'll have to do a second coat.

Unfortunately, it looks like Snoopy is having health issues again. The past couple of days he's been panting a lot, having to pee every 5 minutes, and straining a lot when going. We thought he might have eaten something, because last weekend, the dogs knocked over the garbage can outside and made a huge mess. A couple days after that, Snoopy started going in his crate in the middle of the night for like 3 days. On like the 4th day, Marc discovered something he had pooped out in his crate. It turned out to be a giant wet nap from Armadillo Willy's, still in the wrapper! (This is not your ordinary wet nap, these things were pretty big.) Snoopy, in his zest to gobble up the "snacks" from the garbage, must have accidentally wolfed down the wet nap.

Anyways, so we took him to the vet last night, and of course they had to do x-rays and bloodwork. They found some abnormal looking stuff in his abdomen, but his chest x-ray was thankfully clear. The bloodwork also showed some abnormalities, so now they want to do an ultrasound on Friday to try to better figure out what's going on in his abdomen. Hopefully it's not a recurrence of cancer, but we won't have an idea until then.

Our vet bills this year have just been disastrous!

Our foster cats are still not ready for adoption either. It's been one thing after another with these guys, but hopefully they'll be ready to go in another week or so. It sucks, because they started out relatively small, and now, even though they're technically still kittens, they look pretty much full-grown. But they're both extremely sweet and cute, so that'll help.

After these cats are adopted out, and the house stuff is finally done, I think Marc and I will be taking a LOT of weekends doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Poor Snoopy. Hope everything is okay.

Chunky has been sick too, he threw up on Monday, but after that, he's been happy and extremely playful. But he gave us a scare. I have his appointment tomorrow, hope all is clear also.

Good luck with all your kitchen stuff! :)
