Almost There

We've been busy this weekend with the house (as usual). Marc finished painting all the cabinets, so now we have to get all the hardware on them and remount the doors.

My dad came over on Sunday and we started work on the floor in the family room. We got about halfway done with it before Marc and I had to leave to go to Steve and Erin's house for Steve's birthday. It was nice to get a break from working!

I worked on the floors some more while I was home yesterday, and we're now about 80% done. My dad's coming over tonight to help us finish them. We're not going to have time to do the living room and dining room before Christmas, so we're not even going to start those.

Marc and I also did a preliminary water test on the fish tank. As I expected, I have some leaks around the bulkheads. They are an absolute pain to get to and tighten. We really tightened them down good last night, so I'm hoping to find dry bulkheads when I get home tonight.

Our house is such a mess right now! It totally looks like a bomb went off inside the house (and in the garage too). It's barely habitable. I can't wait to be done with all these projects and have a nice clean house again.
