Girl Scout Cookies

Marc and I bought 3 boxes of Girl Scout cookies over the weekend - one box of Thin Mints, and two boxes of Samoas - and I think we already need more. Trouble is, according to their website (yes, I checked), they stop selling them in our area on the 25th. Time is running out!

So we went out last night after work to try to find some, but couldn't find anyone selling them. I think it may have been too late in the evening.

We didn't do much else yesterday - Marc had to do some work, and the two of us watched a bit of "American Idol."

We've been talking a little bit about getting a new dog, although we can't seem to agree on which kind. I want another Border Collie, but Marc says we can't afford to have two dogs herding and doing agility. I'm open to getting a Lab or something similar, since it might be nice to have a dog that's more socially "easy" and less prone to neuroses. Of course, that's part of the charm with BCs. ;)

Anyways, I don't think we're in a rush to get one right now. We don't have a whole lot of free time these days, and I'd like to get all the house stuff completed before we take on another responsibility, especially if we get a puppy.

Mildly political sidetrack: was reading the news this morning about how Al Gore testified before Congress the other day on global warming. I actually hope that he doesn't decide to run for President again, only because I think he may actually be able to accomplish more in his current position. If he runs again, he's just going to be subjected to the same crap as the last time - the whole thing with him being ridiculed for claiming to have "invented the Internet" being the most particularly frustrating (he didn't claim to have invented it, but he did author the bill that was a major catalyst for the infrastructure that was built that allowed the Internet to become what it is today) - and I think his message would be lost. Continuing to give talks and doing things like making An Inconvenient Truth, I think, allows him to maintain a public image that people are more likely to respect and listen to.

Anyways, I think that's it! My lens is supposed to be delivered today, so I'm pretty excited about that. It's supposed to be a great portrait lens, so it'll be really cool to try it out.
