Hot!

Well, the warm weather we've been having the past few days is already affecting the fish tank, which yesterday hit 84 degrees, higher than I'm comfortable with.

We put a fan in the room and have it blowing over the sump to see if that helps at all (fortunately it's supposed to cool down for the rest of the week). I think I am going to have to resign to getting a chiller for the tank, because if it's bad now, it's going to be even worse in the summer.

Not much else going on, except that I forgot to blog that before we went on our ski trip a couple weeks ago, I managed to find snowboarding boots for $40! Any Mountain had a bunch of their older model boots for sale - the '04 ones were $20 (I really tried to find one, but they didn't have my size), and the '05s were $40. At first I couldn't find any in my size, but then I decided to search through the men's section, and found a misplaced set of women's boots that were exactly my size. And cute to boot! (No pun intended.) The boots were originally $189, so I was super stoked.

Last night, as Marc and I were getting into our car, he actually opened the passenger door for me, which is something he never does, and I occassionally give him grief about it (just for fun). So as I'm sitting in the car, pretending to have died of shock, this is what he says to me: "See, I'm going to try to do that more often now. But only when I happen to be on your side of the car. If I'm on my side, I'm not going to walk all the way around just to open the door for you."

Ah, chivalry by convenience.
