I'm exhausted for some reason this morning (not that it's unusual for a Monday morning, but today I can barely stay awake) despite already having had a full cup of Peet's.
We kicked off our weekend by first picking up our order of Girl Scout Cookies. The lady who we purchased them from was incidentally named Bonnie as well. I actually did a double-take when she opened the door, because my best friend in grade school was a red-headed girl named Bonnie. This lady was a redhead, and she was tall to boot, a lot like my old friend. She also had a Border Collie. It was like an alternate version of me or something.
The funny thing was when she mentioned that she was suprised to meet someone close to her age that was also named Bonnie, because usually only old ladies are named Bonnie (so sad, but true). I wasn't so sure about us being "close" in age, given that I don't have a 12 year old daughter, but maybe she meant close as in a decade close.
Later in the evening we had sushi for dinner with Kenny, and then we caught a showing of 300. I liked it, but Marc didn't much care for it, which isn't too surprising.
Saturday we went to Great America, because Marc's company was hosting a special day for employees there. It was surprisingly crowded, given that it was a company-only event. We had to wait in line for 40 minutes just to ride Top Gun. In the end, I only went on two rides, and Marc went on three (I refuse to go on Drop Zone). I did win a Care Bear at the game where they try to guess your age/weight/birth month within a certain range. I chose birth month, and the guy guessed June - tada, Secret Bear for me.
It was pretty fun though, especially since we got a free lunch out of it!
We chilled out at home in the evening, and watched Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. It was decent, brainless fare. I mentioned to Marc that Lucas Black, the main guy in the movie, was the kid from Sling Blade, which is the first movie we ever saw together. That made both of us feel really old.
Sunday was pretty boring. We just ran some errands during the day. We did catch part of the "Planet Earth" miniseries on Discovery HD, which was really cool. Lots of amazing footage - I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it.

Hey, I was at GA too! I was a bit worried though, I think GA was using it as an "employee training day", on one ride the guy was reading the instructions directly off a card, complete with err's and um's. Didn't stop me from going on the rides though =P I tried the ladder climbing game, but all I got were a bunch of action shots of me flipping over :(
Hahaha - when we were waiting for Delirium, the girl at the control panel hit the button to lower all the harnesses a bit early - before the other worker could warn the riders - and you could hear people gasp in surprise as those things came down on them!
I've tried that ladder thing before - it's not worth the humiliation! I did try the jumbo crane thing, and ALMOST got a giant stuffed dog and Nemo in one shot, but ended up with nothing. :(
