Sorry, sorry, taking the "Wii" word fun a little far in the title there. ;)
Just a quick entry today, as I'm heading for the lab shortly, and will be stuck in there all day today.
Marc and I went to buy a new washer and dryer this weekend, since our dryer was on the fritz. We think it has a bad motor, but since it's like a $300 dryer, we didn't feel like spending $100-$200 to have it fixed. Marc wanted to just get a dryer, but I really wanted the two to match, and Sears Outlet just happened to have a sale where if you bought a washer, you got the dryer for 50% off.
We actually went to look on Friday night after Marc got home (I had the day off, and basically spent the day goofing around and not accomplishing much). We found a pair that we liked, and they were in pretty good shape (Sears Outlet is basically where they sell all the appliances that have some cosmetic damage from delivery or whatnot, but otherwise work fine, and they're usually discounted by 30% or so). We decided to sleep on it and return Saturday morning.
It turned out to be a good thing we did, because when we came back the next morning, they handed us a coupon for $100 off! So we saved a little extra money. We purchased our washer and dryer, and rented a U-Haul on Sunday to go pick them up. Kenny came up and helped us unload them and move them into the house.
Saturday night we met up with all my friends at Tony Roma's to celebrate all the March birthdays (mine, Cynthia's, and Vicki's). We went back to our place afterwards to have ice cream cake from Cold Stone. Marc went and bought big number candles for each of us.
Afterwards, we hung out for a bit, and Cynthia and Steve stayed late to play the Wii with us. I think I need to brush up on my skills a bit, because those two are serious.
Alright, time to head to the lab. Hope everyone had a good weekend!
