The tracking information from FedEx as of Saturday said that my new computer wasn't going to be delivered until the 19th. Well, like Dell, they lie too! Because apparently it is on the truck and out for delivery as I type this. Which is sad, because I'm not home to sign for the package.
The lady I spoke with at FedEx (I called to find out when I would be able to pick it up at the depot) said that they often deliver as late as 8 or 9 pm, so I might make it home before it gets delivered. I'm kinda skeptical though.
I just realized that with a new computer, I am now going to have to hunt around for all the software that I never unpacked from our move. That should be fun. I wonder if this means that I'm going to have to re-download and install all the patches for World of Warcraft. The thought of that makes me want to cry. Lots.
That task alone could literally take days.
Last night we had dinner at Macaroni Grill, since we still had a gift card (from my cousin, who sent it to us as a thank-you for giving her our TMX Elmo). I still don't get the waiter-writes-name-in-crayon-upside-down thing they do there.
Marc and I spent some time after dinner siphoning out some more flatworms from the tank. They were kind of laying low this past week, and I hadn't seen many, just a few here and there, but yesterday it seemed like they were starting to increase in numbers a bit, so I decided to do a little purging. I've also discovered that it's sort of fun to take a piece of plastic and squish the ones that are on the acrylic viewing pane.
I haven't decided how to next tackle this problem. I'm thinking of trying a species of fish that is known to sometimes eat them, but that's never guaranteed to work. But I'm also hesitant to spend more money on the flatworm killer stuff for the third time and still not completely eradicate them.
On the bright side, the corals are all growing well. Some pieces have really taken off - when I finally get my new computer set up I'll have to take updated photos. Of course, the old photos are all on my old computer, so I'm still going to need to get the files off of it. I think I just need to borrow a power supply from one of the old computers here at work.
Still no sign of the baby clownfish. I'm pretty sure it's dead at this point. Sad.
Random thought - I wonder if I had a week off of work, and was just left to my own devices at home, how much stuff I would accomplish? Take, for instance, this website, which I have been promising to complete for like 2 years now, but have never finished. I wonder if I could actually complete it if I just took a week off of work, or if I would simply just end up sleeping all day, every day? Most likely the latter.

I hope your delivery experience is better than my laptop delivery experience was, where I wasn't home and they dropped it off at our neighbor's house. Our SHADY neighbors. I was not really pleased about that.
Funny you should mention that, I just posted about it!
