TV Made My Head (And This Blog) Explode

Since I didn't do anything else after agility class last night than watch television, this whole blog is pretty much going to be about "American Idol" and "LOST," so don't read on if you don't want spoilers or if you don't care.

So we started the TV watching night with "American Idol" and their "Idol Gives Back" charity special, which was pretty much like a 2-hour telethon, with a results show mixed in there somewhere.

Pink and Gwen Stefani were supposed to perform, but I didn't see either of them, which was highly disappointing. Someone said that they performed at the concert hall, but that the performances weren't shown on TV, which I find really odd, because they kept pimping these two on the commercials. I guess maybe they just ran out of time? Still, I would've much rather seen Gwen than Josh Groban and that damn song I hate. Although the kids were cute.

On the bright side, we did get to see Kelly Clarkson perform, and she was awesome. She's really packed on the pounds of late, but I don't care, she still rocks. The bestest Idol ever.

Then there was this really strange "duet" thing with Celine Dion and Elvis that really hurt my brain. I don't even know how to describe it. It was like Celine singing with an Elvis hologram. So surreal.

Also surreal was the "Stayin' Alive" music video with all the random celebs. Like Sarah Michelle Gellar? Although it reminded me that "Buffy" was an awesome show. But still. Random.

Then there was the whole cruelty of the actual results. Jordin was going home! GASP! But then she wasn't, because no one was being kicked off this week. Whew! But then they told us that TWO people were going to get kicked off next week. Ack!

The whole production seemed a bit rough, but I guess it was to be expected. Marc and I donated at the end, and I called and voted 7 times the night before, so I guess we did our part.

After that, we watched "LOST," which was much better this week than last. I love Sun and Jin though, so that's probably why I find their story so much better. But the best part was that we learned that Juliet is most likely doing her double-agent thing under Ben's orders and not really of her own choosing, so that makes me happy.

Anyways, that's it for now! I just can't think anymore, TV has rotted my brain!
