I was just thinking that we've been at our new house for almost a year now, and we still haven't finished all our projects! We're still living with only half of our kitchen cabinet doors up, haha. I think we're going to have to definitively set this weekend as the weekend we finish hanging the doors. It really needs to get done sometime this century.
Marc and I rented The Good Shepherd a while back, and finally got around to watching it the other night. Well, we tried at least. Maybe we just weren't in the right mood for it or something, but after about halfway through, we gave up. I was pretty much lost as to what was going on about a minute in, and it didn't get any better as the movie wore on. I don't know why movies make themselves deliberately difficult to follow. Is it art? I guess, but call me shallow, because I usually don't enjoy having to work at understanding a film.
I talked to Kenny and my parents yesterday - it is apparently 104 degrees in Phoenix. In May! Luckily for Kenny, he already bought a car (a silver '04 Honda Accord with low miles), so he won't have to walk anywhere in that godforsaken heat. He also found an apartment, which he says is pretty nice, and only costs about $750 a month in rent. Not bad.
I dropped Leslie off at the airport in the afternoon (he's going on a business trip to Taipei), and then swung by my parents house to pick up Harvey, because he was going to spend the night at our house. I ended up giving him a bath last night, because he hates water, and I can't remember the last time Kenny gave him a bath. He was stinky. He was actually pretty good about the whole thing, and was fine as long as I didn't turn the hose on him.
Anyways, I was going to do my recap of the AI season 1 finale today, but I'm still recovering from my lost post from yesterday. All those links and words I have to do all over again. Argh! But, I did find clips of Kelly's new album on AOL (the album drops June 26). My favorite is probably the clip of "Sober". Love. Two other snippets can be found here.
Still recovering from my cold, but at least it hasn't been a totally miserable one. And it could be worse, I could've been on that flight with the TB guy. What an idiot!
