[Annoyed side-note: I spent who knows how long typing up this long-ass entry, and I am SURE that I saved a draft at one point, when I clicked on some stupid link and it opened it up in the page I was using to blog, wiping out my entire post. Woe to weblinks that open themselves up in existing windows! Woe I say! And I don't know where my draft went. It's gone. Poof. So I have to start this ALL. OVER. AGAIN. And that makes me not happy.]
Kenny flew to Arizona yesterday with my parents, who are tagging along to help him find an apartment and a car. My little brother has moved away!
Saturday we had a little going away party for Kenny as well as for Henry (who just accepted a position at a Mountain View hospital, so he's not moving anywhere) at my aunt's house. It was like a mini family reunion, because my Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Lu were in town, as was my Aunt Arky. My cousin Mark also flew up for the weekend. We had a good time, eating lots of food and chatting and playing games. Leslie pitched in with us and we got Kenny a digital camera (Canon SD1000) as a going away present (and as a thank-you from us for pet-sitting).
Sunday morning I took Bandit sheep herding, which was uneventful except for the fact that Bandit had gotten to half of my chicken burger the day before, and was paying for it on Sunday. I didn't find out until I spotted him doing the squats right in front of Jan and another student. Embarrassing.
Even worse, most of it ended up on his tail and fur, and somehow, it landed on my pants. Gross. Thankfully, there were hoses nearby.
We went to Union City and had sushi dinner with my family that night. Yummy! Afterwards, we went with my brothers to watch Shrek the Third. I liked it, probably more so because my expectations were lowered from the mixed reviews. But I enjoyed it more than Spiderman 3.
Then we said goodbye to Kenny, as they were flying out early the next morning.
Monday we didn't do much of anything, except go to Steve and Erin's to drop off some shirts we had gotten for the kids at Disney World. While we were there, though, we learned that babies apparently can poo so fiercely that it winds up on their backs. Like, what good is a diaper then? Egads! Whatever mothering gene I might have, that went into dormancy while we were in Disney World surrounded by screaming kids, and was just starting to peek back out now that we were home, went back into hiding again.
Kidding! I mean, if I can deal with dog diarrhea on my leg, what's a little baby back poop?
Well, I had a whole thing typed out for the AI Finale Rewind, but I'll save that for the next post, as it's pretty long, and I have to go find all the links again. Bleh.

Regarding unsaved blogs - same thing happened to me this morning twice. Once after I had two sentences written, then again after I had four paragraphs written. Argh. One reason why I love my WordPress and Blogger blogs -- autosave!
Awww! It's hard when the baby bro moves away ... mine only moved to SoCal but it still feels so far away.
Will he fly back for games. ;)
Haha, I should ask him. I'm sure he'll fly out for SC and the Big Game (if you can even get tix).
