Quick Recap and Rewind

| | Comments (0)

I'm stuck in the lab allllll day today, so gonna quickly blog before I have to head out. I ended up not taking Bandit to agility last night, just to give his feet some extra rest. He's walking fine, but seems to be just the slightest bit tender still, so I didn't want to take any chances.

I ended up just napping when I got home, hehe. Marc worked a bit late, so we were still busy getting dinner ready while AI was on. It was all filler stuff anyways, so no big deal. I know Pink finally performed (I think it was taped from before), but I didn't really pay attention. I did watch Barry Gibb perform, and that was a bit painful. Maybe not as bad as Robin Thicke, but close. Marc and I think he has false teeth. And those jeans seemed uber tight.

Wasn't surprised at all that LaKisha went home - I think she probably knew it too. I'm honestly not sure any of these guys are going to go on to be commercial successes. I think it's more likely they won't be. Melinda's the only one who has the consistency to be good enough, but I worry that she'll be reduced to recording covers, like Clay Aiken. Or pigeonholed like Ruben Studdard.

"LOST" was fabulous. It kills me that there are only 3 episodes left this year. At least we got some answers last night, although I think I also have more questions. Can't wait till next week.

Okay, so on to AI Season 1 Rewind:

The top 30 were divided into three groups, and three people were voted in from each group of 10, with the 10th person being chosen in the wild card round. The wild card winner was RJ Helton, who during his original top 30 performance had the dubious distinction of being the person to spark a near fist-fight between Simon and Randy. I tried to find a clip on YouTube, but no luck. Damn.

Tamyra Gray and Justin Guarini were pretty much the favorites to go through to the finals, and they did. I heard that Tamyra's performance was great, but I can't seem to find which song she performed, and I don't have enough time to go digging around for it. Justin and Kelly were in the same group of 10 - Justin got the most votes, and Kelly came in second, although none of the judges predicted her to make it. AJ Gill was third, and that was a complete shock.

This is fun!
