Every Day Should Be Friday

I think I mentioned before the our ginormous anemone split into two awhile back. We ended up with one small one, and one that was still really large. The large one refused to stay in one spot, and kept "walking" around the tank. Well, a few days ago, it "walked" right into the intake strainer for the closed loop (where water gets sucked into the pump and gets recirculated to the rest of the tank). The suction is pretty strong, so it was all smushed up on it, and was basically being ripped in half, as it had its foot on the rocks, and the rest stuck to the strainer.

I managed to pry it loose, but there are little anemone bits all over the tank right now. We'll see if any of it manages to recover. The clownfish has, in the meantime, taken up residence in the smaller anemone.

It's sad, because that big clone was beautiful.

I didn't go to agility class Wednesday night, because I was helping out with cat clinic that night. I haven't done clinic in a couple months, so I was a bit rusty doing my first blood draw. One lady brought in a cat that she suspected was pregnant, and when we felt the cat, it certainly seemed that way. I've never felt a pregnant cat before, but if I had to imagine how one felt, that's what I'd imagine. It's nipples were popping out too, so that was another clue. Poor thing got knocked up!

Anyways, I can't wait to get home tonight, because apparently the rest of the songs from "My December" have leaked today. About time!
