I WANT THIS

I want this. I want this. I want this.

Apple iPod Touch

It's beautiful! It's basically an iPhone without the phone capabilities, which is just what I like. I don't need a data phone, and certainly don't feel like paying the subscription fees that come with one, so this is perfect - you get WiFi, and a slick video screen that's much better than the one on my video iPod. Anyone wanna buy a video iPod? :)

I've been remiss in blogging this week, I know. Been hard to find time. There hasn't been a whole lot going on this week, although this weekend will be a bit busy. Bandit has an agility trial up in Dixon, and although we're signed up for both Saturday and Sunday, I'll probably only take him on Saturday if he manages to qualify that day. We have to go early too, as the novice jumpers class starts earlier than usual. I think we have to leave the house by 7 am. Oy.

There's a Cal game on TV tomorrow too (they travel to Colorado St.). Go Bears!

Here's a wierd work story - there's a flier that's been posted in one of my buildings about some stress reduction seminar series that was being offered, and the flier says something like, "Feeling stressed? Overwhelmed? Blah blah blah..." Someone wrote on it, saying, "Birth School Work Death...How do I break the cycle?" (Um, get some help...) Then, someone else wrote, "Fewer meetings." And today I saw that yet another person wrote, "Fewer signs." I'm really tempted to add, "Fewer wierd people at work who write on signs." Is that hilarious, or would that make me a hypocrite?

Another work story (hopefully I didn't share this already) - a couple weeks ago, some of my coworkers and I noticed this foul B.O. odor in one of the stairwells in our building. It was so bad that we'd have to hold our noses everytime we went in it. Finally, I decided to look under the stairs - I saw a bike (normal), and then someone's used, sweaty bike clothes on hangers, hanging under the stairs! Right there, in my face, was someone's stanky 'ol bike shorts. I mean, what do people think they are doing???

My coworker and I finally told our building receptionist about it because we thought it was just foul. She called security, and they put up a sign in the stairwell that said that bikes were okay to store there, but that personal items (like stinky ass clothes) should be stored in offices or lockers (we do have showers and lockers at work) so that they wouldn't get stolen. Security was being nice.

So what did the person do? They tore down the sign, and left their stuff there.

We went and complained again, and this time, security put up another sign, saying that ALL items in the stairwell had to be removed. This jerkwad tore down the sign again. We told the receptionist again, and this time it was elevated higher in security, and if the person didn't remove their stuff, it was going to be confiscated.

Someone put the sign back up. Then this person wrote, "WHAT?" on it (you can see that writing on signs is big here). But their stuff was gone. Whether they finally got the message and removed it, or it got confiscated, I don't know.

The stairwell still smells, by the way. It's like the Seinfeld episode where Jerry gets that B.O. smell stuck in his car. I'm tempted to bring a can of air freshener and spray it in there, and leave it there, so that maybe that person gets the hint. I was thisclose to leaving a sign to tell them that they needed to remove their clothes not for security reasons, but because they fucking stank.

People just amaze me!

Marc and I just booked our vacation for our anniversary - we're going to Hawaii! We're going to the big island this time, since we've done Maui twice already. I can't wait. I've got 3 weeks to get into bikini form.

Anyways, I think that's all I've got for today - will try to get back into the daily blogging routine next week.
