Actually, I don't think I've been lazy about blogging, per se...mostly, there wasn't that much to write about, and yesterday I was in the lab all day and unable to find the time.
First, Happy Anniversary to us! Marc and I celebrated our 5th anniversary on Saturday - he took me out to dinner on Friday night (a place called Mudd's in San Ramon - we had a really good scallop appetizer and I had a really good halibut).
For my present, Marc got me an iPod Touch! This thing is very cool. I gotta hand it to Apple, they know how to package a product. It's so freaking neat! I'm still working on Marc's present, so I won't spill the beans on that yet.
On Saturday I went to the Cal game with Leslie (and we bumped into Deepali at the student store before the game). The forecast called for rain all day, but it didn't rain a drop at the game. We brought ponchos and didn't need them. At some points, it was actually sunny and hot. We had great seats (40 yard line) that I got for less than face value.
Sunday I went herding in the morning, and Marc went to the Giants game with a friend.
Tonight, the new foster for the kittens is coming to pick them up. I'm kinda sad about it. I sorta suggested to him that we'd be happy to take them back when we got back from vacation, but he said he didn't mind. Sniff.
The kittens have learned how to hop from the toilet to the bathroom counter now (where mom usually hangs out). I found one of them eating from her bowl the other day, and last night I walked in and found 4 of them sleeping in the sink. I wish I'd had my camera. Mom seemed a bit verklempt that her sanctuary was now full of kittens.
I am going to miss the little furballs! I forgot to take pictures yesterday - I'll have to try to do that tonight before the new foster comes to get them.

Statistics show that most marriages fail within the first five years. Whew - you're past that! :-) Happy anniversary to both of you, and I wish I had seen the kittens sleeping in the sink.
