Arizona Trip

Marc, Leslie and I made semi-impromptu plans to fly down to Phoenix this Saturday to visit Kenny.

We'd been talking about it for a while, particularly because Cal is visiting ASU this Saturday, but flying down there was a bit pricey, and so we kind of let the idea die. Then Kenny called me Monday evening, and long story short, basically guilted the three of us into going (we were supposed to visit him last month, but ended up going to Hawaii instead).

Apparently he got tickets to the game from a coworker, so we figured what the heck. We're flying out early Saturday morning and coming back early Sunday morning. Flight times were a bit restrictive (at least, the cheap flights were). It'll be cool to see Kenny's place, as well as Phoenix, since I've never been there before.

Haven't been doing much this week - Marc and I have managed to cook dinner all week so far, which is amazing, and we're up to episode 12 on "Heroes."

I took our momma cat to clinic last night to get tested, and ended up having to draw her blood myself. She was damn feisty, and pretty pissed at being there and away from her babies. I stuck around for a little bit after to help with some of the other fosters. Seems like all the cats we had were a bit ornery.

After that I took Bandit to agility - had one kinda scary moment towards the end when one of the other students started acting a bit dazed. She and her dog usually run the course first, so we were all waiting for her to go, but she just kept looking around the course like she was having trouble figuring it out. Turns out she's diabetic, and I guess her blood sugar was low, and she just couldn't get the course straight. She ended up being fine, but we were all starting to get really concerned, because none of us knew what the heck was going on.

I also found out last night that one of the kittens from the last group we had fostered died. I guess it happened a couple weeks ago - their new foster had left them one morning, and they were all fine, and then he came home that evening and one of them was laboring to breathe and passed away. It was the little chocolate brown girl that I'd fallen in love with too. They don't know what happened, and the vet said it was too young to really be able to tell. Sucks. The rest of the litter seems to be doing well though, and I guess they're all going up for adoption starting this weekend.

A couple of the kittens from our current litter are starting to lap at wet food now. Not all of them have figured it out, but I'm sure they'll all be eating pretty soon.

Gonna go look at new cell phones today - apparently I'm eligible for a new one, and Verizon is on campus today, so I'm gonna go check 'em out!

Oh awesome! Cheer loud Bonz!

Uh, the awesome part was just for the Cal game.

But poor kitty, and glad to hear that person was ok. :(
