Halloween Fun

Well, Marc and I didn't get dressed up this year - tried to think of costumes, but just couldn't think of anything neat. We did decorate the front of the house - fog and strobe light and everything. Marc also downloaded a bunch of scary sounds, which we had playing through the window. I actually wonder if there were any kids that never made it to our door, hehe.

We had a few kids that had to be really pushed by their parents to come up, and one little girl practically took her candy and ran. A lot of them seemed to enjoy it though. The only annoying part about trick-or-treating is the older kids who don't even bother to get dressed up at all. I mean, throw on a cape or something. We had one group of teens come up - none were dressed, and one kid was even on his cell phone, fer cryin' out loud. Next year, we should set aside boxes of raisins for kids like that.

Play-dough had these cute little mini-tubs specifically for Halloween, and we gave them out to the younger kids, who seemed to like them. I thought it was a neat idea!

We ended up going through almost all of our candy, which is sort of a bummer, because it doesn't give us that annual excuse of having to eat the leftovers. :)

I did try to get the pumpkin pictures uploaded last night, but it got too late to finish. I'll get them up tomorrow.

Not much else going on - Marc and I finished the first season of "Heroes," so we're going to start catching up on the second season online.

I've decided to return my new Chocolate phone and wait for the new Venus instead. I'm tempted to consider the new Voyager, because it's iPhone-like, but it's also bigger, and I really don't need a data phone. The QWERTY keyboard is nice for texting, and I'm texting a little more these days, but still not very much at all. It's also more expensive. But you know me and gadgets.

The kittens are about 5 weeks old now, and doing well. One of them, a medium-haired little furball, is seriously the sweetest and cutest of the bunch. When it was smaller, I'd always find it sleeping/laying on its back with its belly totally exposed, and I could almost pose it that way. Now, when I go in the room, it's always sitting at my feet and looking up at me. And when I sit down, it always climbs into my lap and falls asleep there. I'm pretty sure it's a girl, and she's just the cutest thing ever.
