Wow, That Sucked

I skipped my agility trial on Saturday (it was a two-hour drive to Santa Rosa for one run, so I wasn't exactly highly motivated to go to begin with) in favor of watching the Cal-Washington game on TV. Turns out, the two hour drive to Santa Rosa might have been more fun.

Deepali and Leslie (brother, not friend) came over to watch the game with us. It was painful. The game, not their company. I know it's just football, but I've never been so pissed off at a game before. It's a game they should have won, but the team played with NO HEART. And the players pretty much admitted as such afterwards. But honestly, I've been saying that since like five games ago. I think once the team found themselves out of National Title and Rose Bowl contention after that OSU loss, they gave up on their season. And that's just wretched.

Deepali and Leslie both stuck around after the game. Leslie went out with Marc to buy sneakers, and Deepali and I stayed and played Super Mario Galaxy. Then the four of us ended up watching episodes of "The Office" until nearly 1 am. We took a break for dinner - tried out this Hawaiian place that was pretty good. But holy crap, we must have watched 2/3rds of the third season, all the way through the finale. We watched TV for nearly 12 hours straight. My eyes were bleeding.

On the bright side of Cal football, the marching band and their video game halftime show from a few weeks ago got mentioned on EW.com - the article includes a link to a YouTube video that is much, much better than the ones I posted earlier. You can't hear the announcer as much, but you can see the whole field and all the formations (upside down though). It's very cool.

Sunday Marc and I watched some football and also did a little shopping at the mall.

Very stoked that this is a short week - woohoo! I'll be working on Wednesday, but hopefully I can sneak out early, although I'm sure someone will end up needing my help at like, 4.
