Comcast was kind enough to broadcast last night's Game 7 in HD, so we got to watch the game during dinner. Sharks won the game, won the series, and played so much better than they did in Game 6. They kept the puck in Calgary's zone, kept it out of theirs, and they seemed to be a lot more aggressive on the boards and in taking shots on goal. Seems like every year they have a tough, physical series, and they haven't been able to step up and win. Maybe now that they finally have, they've got a shot at the Cup.
We also watched a bit of AI last night. Because of the game, we had to watch it on DVR. Marc had to pause it at one point, and happened to pause it right when the camera showed David Duchovny and his son in the audience. His son was wearing a sport coat. Cute.
I couldn't believe that Brooke started, then stopped, and started again. I haven't seen close to every performance on this show, but has anyone ever done that before? Wow. I literally thought she might run off the stage. I thought she was going to finally have a meltdown. How this poor girl is going to go on tour, I don't know.
Anyways, after all the talk about how this year's crop was so talented, I have to say I'm pretty underwhelmed. Not as badly as last year, but nobody really stands out (I'm also tired of the blatant pimping of David A., like they did with Jordin last year). This show is really starting to lose me. I don't see any of these guys being invited to sing for the Pope, yo!
I ended up watching a lot of TV yesterday - I finished Disc 2 of "Bleak House" (Blockbuster just shipped Disc 3 today - hurryupandgetherealready). I also watched another ep of XF, because I'm falling behind pace again.
Kittens are doing well - gaining weight steadily, and getting bigger and furrier. Their eyes still aren't open yet. Mom eats and drinks like a pig. I need to think of names!
