It's Thursday

It's been a bit of a crazy week at work, so I'm glad it's Thursday already. Because of the craziness I've been remiss about blogging, although there hasn't been much excitement anyways.

Tuesday morning I was supposed to have an appointment to check-up on my eyes. I'd rescheduled my original appointment from May 6, and I couldn't remember what time it was for, except that it was in the morning. Marc called the Dr's office that morning to find out for me, and the lady couldn't find my appointment. But she said that I could go ahead and come in at 9:45.

So I got there, and waited, and was still waiting at 10:30 when this other couple that had come in after me started bitching about the wait because they had a 10 am appointment. They were swamped, but the receptionist ushered them in a few minutes later. I was more than a little miffed about this, and I went up and asked her if I should just reschedule, because those people had a later appointment than me, and she let them in before me.

Her response was, "Yeah, I'm sorry, but you did just make your appointment this morning..."

To which I said, "No, I scheduled this appointment almost a month ago. Someone screwed up and didn't input it properly, and now those people went ahead of me, and I've been here for an hour and I have to get to work."

She was like, "OH. I'm sorry..." and then proceed to give me this (probably B.S.) story about how their computers had crashed and they'd had to transfer all the appointments manually and blah blah blah.

She turned out to be pretty apologetic and kept saying it would just be another 15 minutes, but I really had to get to work at this point, so I just rescheduled. Pain in the ass. My one-month check-up has turned into a two-month checkup, and I wasted an hour of my day for nothing (and now five minutes of yours!).

We picked up our pre-ordered copy of Wii Fit yesterday, but didn't have time to try it out (had to work cat clinic last night, so got home pretty late). Marc's really into Mario Kart though - I don't think I've ever seen him play a single video game as much as he has this one. It's about as close to obsessive as he gets (I'm definitely the obsessive-compulsive half in this relationship, if that wasn't already glaringly apparent - actually, I'm probably more obssesive-compulsive than anyone I know, heh).

We didn't even watch the AI finale last night, although that was in large part due to the fact that Marc was already spoiled thanks to Yahoo! putting the result in their headlines. Despite not caring about the results, I am pleased that America decided to say "FU" to the producers and judges. Not that it matters much - Randy will still probably produce Archie's album as he's been drooling to do all year. Also, I heard that the USC Toejam band was on the show, so I'm grateful for having missed that.

Anyways, I think that's about it. I might even have time to blog tomorrow!
