Had a good weekend at Petsmart, as we managed to get all three remaining kittens adopted! All we have left now is April, the mom, who I am surprised is still not adopted. I've gotten a couple of calls on her, but none that have panned out. I feel bad, because she's been staying at Petsmart for the last two weeks, and I hate leaving her in a cage. Fortunately, she seems to be handling it pretty well, but I might take her home one day this week, just so she can get out of there for a bit.
We got two of the kittens adopted out on Saturday, and were left with just one, little Donnie. Poor guy was not happy about being alone. He pretty much cried every time he was locked up in his room by himself. We let him run around as much as possible while we were home that evening, which resulted in a funny incident.
Marc was going to the bathroom while we were getting ready for bed, and little Donnie decided to sneak in there with him. While Marc was peeing, the kitten jumped up onto the edge of the toilet bowl, and his head ended up right in the middle of the stream! I was brushing my teeth when Marc came running out of the bathroom with the cat in his hands, going, "Oh my God, I peed on the cat!" He ran over to the sink, turned on the faucet, and stuck the cat's head under the water.
Donnie seemed completely non-plussed the entire time.
We're probably going to take a break from fostering for a couple months - Marc needs one, and we're going on vacation in August, so it's just easier if we don't foster until we get back. We at least seem to be getting to the end of kitten season, so that helps.
We went to see Get Smart Saturday night. I thought it was pretty funny. It didn't get great reviews, so I think my expectations weren't that high.
Sunday night we had dinner at my brothers' new apartment. And just like that, another weekend was over!
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Gross, but that story is sooooo funny!
I wish I was allowed pets in my building ... I miss my animal adventures with my doggy!
