Yesterday afternoon (after I just about expired from boredom at this meeting) I started having a runny nose, and it got progressively worse as the evening wore on. I went to help out at cat clinic, and my throat started to get a little sore. It's even worse this morning, so I'm pretty sure that I'm coming down with something. Right before the holiday weekend, which is awesome. I'm so thrilled.
I think maybe when I finish up my work and I run out of kleenex I'll decide to call it a day and go home, heh.
On the bright side, we did finally book our Oahu trip, which is a huge relief, because I was running myself ragged trying to plan it. Trying to coordinate schedules and finances with my whole family is not easy. And then putting together about 20 different packages to find the cheapest option is an arduous task. I think we'll be staying at a pretty nice hotel (the Marriott in Waikiki). I'd originally wanted to stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, but it was just a little too pricey. We're going the last week of August - I can't wait!
Finally reached critical mass at my desk here at work. I'm not sure which is filthier, my desk at home, or my desk at work. I just had papers and journals and a bajillion post-its spread all over the place. It was disgusting, really. I think maybe this weekend I'll clean my desk at home, because that one has absolutely no usable flat space left.
Not sure what we'll be doing for the weekend. I think our neighbors are trying to organize another block party, so we may be doing that. Most of my extended family will be leaving town either today or tomorrow. And Monday we fly down to San Diego for Mark and Chris's wedding.
