I'm finally at the tail end of my cold, but Marc's got it pretty bad now. He stayed home from work yesterday, but felt well enough to go in today. Lucky me got to be sick all holiday weekend.
We had a pretty low key 4th of July. I had a bunch of family over, and we barbecued in our backyard. After dinner, we went out into the cul-de-sac and lit a bunch of fireworks with the neighbors. I locked Bandit up in our bedroom and turned the TV on really loud, and he seemed none the worse for wear.
Our weekend was pretty un-busy, at least from what I can remember. I spent most of it in bed or on the couch just trying to breathe.
Monday we flew down to San Diego for Mark and Chris' wedding. We arrived at around 2, and took a shuttle to our hotel, which was only a couple minutes away. My parents stayed with my brothers at a different hotel. Marc and I lounged around in the room for a bit before we changed, and my cousin Kate and her boyfriend Rich stopped by to use our room to change (they drove in from LA).
The wedding took place on a boat, and the harbor was literally across the street from our hotel, which was nice and convenient. Mark and Chris wore matching tuxes, and they both looked great - stupid me forgot to bring the camera, so I'll have to snag some of my dad's photos. They had a really nice ceremony, and it turned out to be a beautiful night.
Our flight out was the next morning at 6:40am, so we managed to get a few hours sleep before having to drag ourselves out of bed and to the airport. Marc and I both went to work straight from Oakland airport. I was pretty much dragging all day.
Busy night yesterday too. I had to fill in at the last minute for one of our cat clinic volunteers, so I was there from 6 to 7:45pm, and then right after that I had to rush home and pick up Bandit to take him to his agility class (which luckily had been moved to 8 because of the heat). I didn't finish dinner until after 10, and at that point it was pretty much time to get ready for bed.
Anyways, I can't believe it's only 2 more weeks until the X-Files movie! Gillian Anderson has an auction starting for charity with a bunch of memorabilia as well as tickets to the movie premiere with a meet and greet with her included. Ugh, if only I had the money. Although I'm sure if I ever did actually get to meet her I'd just embarrass myself. I think I'll try to bid on some of the memorabilia though.

Let's see if your new comment feature works! :)
I'm glad the wedding went well, though I'm sorry you and Marc were sick!
