Live Blogging

Blogging from home tonight for once - Marc went out to dinner with a friend, so I was on my own this evening. Too lazy to go out to get food, so I just had soup for dinner. Which is fine, since I need to shed a few pounds for Hawaii anyways.

So I'm just sitting here watching the Olympics. Men's volleyball is on now, so I'm not really paying much attention. I don't find the indoor volleyball quite as exciting as beach volleyball - speaking of which, I was reading the rules for that, and it states that the mens' attire has to consist of shorts and a tank top. Why not shirtless? Hetero women and gay men deserve a little eye candy too.

I do wish they would show this stuff live. It's not that out of the question to start the broadcast at 5pm - after all, that's when Monday Night Football starts. I'd rather catch up on DVR than have to stay up until midnight to finish watching stuff that I know all the results to already from going anywhere near the internet. And really, I'd rather just go online to find out the swimming results than wait until 11pm or something. Annoying. Sometimes it sucks being on the forgotten coast.

Hmm, I don't think that soup is sitting too well with me right now.

I watched a little bit of football tonight too - the Eagles were playing, so I got to see DeSean Jackson play a little. Actually, he played almost the whole game. Had a couple good punt returns and some nice catches. I think NFL network is showing the Bills game later, so should be able to see a little bit of Marshawn Lynch.

Not much else new - took Bandit to agility last night for the first time in over a month. It was hot. Nothing new at work either - I don't think we'll find anything out until the beginning of September. In the meantime, I'm pretty much just going about work as normal. I haven't really been panicking about the whole thing, not sure if I should be. I think maybe it's because I haven't really wanted to spend my entire career in pharma, but I've been stuck in a state of inertia, and this is probably the push I need. So I guess the challenge will be to see if I can actually take this opportunity and do something with it.

In the meantime....gonna veg some more!
