Been crazy busy at work this week. Somehow I seem to be busier these days than before, which doesn't make a lot of sense. But both the things I had scheduled for today got cancelled, so I've got a little time to blog now.
Marc and I rented Baby Mama on Friday night, which was pretty funny. Not something I'd want to spend $20 on at the theaters, but worth the rental.
Saturday morning Marc worked on the yard while I worked on the fish tank. I had a bunch of anthelia that was overgrowing everywhere, so it was time for a pruning. We took it down to the fish store, and they gave me $75 credit. I probably could've bargained for more, but I have this stuff practically growing out of my ears and I just want to get rid of it. I'd like to have it completely out of the tank, but it literally sprouts up everywhere.
My Aunt Mercia is in town, so in the evening we went down to my parents' house for dinner. We ended up leaving around 10, since we both had to wake up early for Marc's Heart Walk in the morning (our friend Bill works for the American Heart Association and was helping to organize it).
We woke up Sunday around 6, threw on sweats, and drove to Foothill College. I was helping out with taking photographs, and Marc was walking. Lots of people brought their dogs with them. I can only imagine what it would have been like if we'd brought Bandit.
We left around 11 and headed home. We cleaned up the house a little because Cynthi, Steve, Elaine and Leslie were coming over for a barbecue lunch. We played a little bit of Rock Band 2 with the No Fail option, which saved our asses a bunch of times.
Monday was our sixth anniversary! We didn't do anything special, since we're probably going to go to the city next Friday to celebrate. Marc did have a dozen roses delivered to me at work though - they're very pretty.
Last night I hung out with Jan and a few other women for a Ladies' Poker Night. This was my first time, and I had a lot of fun. We each put in $10 to the pool, and I ended up walking away with $23, not bad! I won three straight hands, all with four of a kind (aces, 10s, and 8s) on 7-card stud with queens and after wild. Kind of funky rules, but fun. We played all kinds - 5 card draw and Texas Hold 'Em too. We were out late - I didn't get home until after 11:30, and was beat.
Now I need a nap!
