I was putting of posting because I was hoping to get some pictures up, but that hasn't happened yet, and I can't let this place turn into a wasteland. I'm massively behind on photos. I have some from this weekend that I'll try to get done tonight, and I still have a bunch from the Academy of Sciences, as well as Hawaii (!). Sigh.
Had a somewhat busy weekend. Cynthia and Steve came up Saturday morning, and the four of us went on a bike ride. Marc had to pull our bikes out of storage, and reinflate the tires, since we haven't used them in almost 2 years.
It's Friday, so of course that means that I'm stuck in the lab all day. It's looking like my day might be a little shorter than I originally thought it would be, which would be nice. Of course, now that I've said that, something probably will happen that will cause me to have to stay late.
Our weekend was a low-key affair, which was just as I'd hoped it would be. We went to my parents' Saturday afternoon for dinner (it was supposed to be a barbecue, but ended up being a bunch of takeout and mish-mash of food that my mom picked up), and hung out there for a bit watching college football. We brought Bandit with us so that he could play with Harvey.
So glad today is Friday. I'm looking forward to just relaxing and chilling this weekend. This week just felt exhausting, probably because I didn't sleep well all week.
Feeling very sleepy today - Marc's been on the cusp of a cold all week, and as a consequence, he's waking me up in the middle of the night because of his restlessness. I'm eating chocolates right now to try to stay awake.
So, unbeknownst to me (mostly because I fail to properly read the e-mails that come to my inbox), my domain registration for the site had expired, and we were down for a few days over the weekend. Oops. I really need to stop glossing over things.
Work has got me swamped this week, which is why I haven't blogged sooner. I'm not trying to go to a once-a-week schedule, I swear! Today is considerably calmer, which is nice.
