Had a somewhat busy weekend. Cynthia and Steve came up Saturday morning, and the four of us went on a bike ride. Marc had to pull our bikes out of storage, and reinflate the tires, since we haven't used them in almost 2 years.
We finally went and looked at a map of Ironhorse Trail, and figured out where it goes. We used to try to bike on it, and we'd always end up taking the wrong turn and ending up on completely the wrong trail. This time, we actually checked to see where we needed to go, and managed to find it, at long last.
Our ride ended up being about 10 miles round trip. We rode the trail all the way into San Ramon, then back. On our way back we stopped for lunch.
My legs were so sore by the time I went to bed that night. Yikes. I literally wanted to cut them off, they felt like concrete blocks.
We went to my parents' house for dinner and then went to my brothers' apartment to watch the Cal/Arizona game. I've become convinced that it's bad luck to watch games at our house, but our luck wasn't any better at my brothers' place. What a fiasco. The good tackling that seemed to have finally surfaced this year disappeared completely, and the team as a whole just played awful. It was just painful to watch.
Sunday we did pretty much nothing. Just lounged around and watched football, and napped. We did go out and pick up some pumpkins for carving. So we accomplished something.
That's it for today - too lazy to write more at the moment!
