Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Marc is out picking up the pies from Marie Callenders that we ordered as I type this, and I'm just lounging around in my PJs. We'll be going over to my parents' house for dinner later this afternoon.

Quick administrative note: I just noticed that a couple people had signed up for login accounts on the site - I never got a notification for it, so I had no clue until I randomly checked the other day. So I finally activated those accounts - you should be able to log in, and hopefully comment more easily now. If it doesn't work, let me know.
Spent all day in the lab (heck, all week), and finished early, so I've got a little time to blog this afternoon. So nice that it's Friday, and next week is a short week! I get Thursday and Friday off, but I'm planning on taking Wednesday off. Marc is planning on taking the whole week off. He's back home, as of Wednesday, which is nice.
Had a pretty nice weekend, full of birthday goodness for Marc. I'm actually on my own for a few days, as Marc is down in San Diego for some work stuff. It's just me and all the pets! Luckily I have Bandit, so it's a little less creepy being in the house by myself.
I am late in the day with this, because I'm at terrible wife. Happy birthday to Marc! My hubby turns 33 today.
And thanks to everyone for testing out the comments. It still doesn't work, so I'm back to square one trying to figure this thing out.
I went through a bunch of spam comments today, and found a couple of legitimate ones that had ended up in there (sorry Deepali!). I still haven't figured out this ever persistent problem with MT4, and lots of legit comments end up getting spammed. I can "trust" certain commenters, but it's IP specific, so when someone posts from a different IP, it runs the risk of going to spam. Anyways, today I found out one piece of info - the comments require a valid e-mail address. Apparently MT4 checks, and if the address is fake, the comment gets spammed. E-mail addresses don't get published with your comment (only I see them), so if people could post some test comments with working e-mail addresses, I'd appreciate it, as I'd like to test this theory.
We had a nice evening last night. Went over to Jan's after work, and a small group of us had dinner and watched the election returns. It's been a long eight years waiting for this day, and it's thrilling to have it done in such historic fashion. I never thought I'd see a minority president so soon in my lifetime. And I'm excited about the kind of man that we've elected.
Marc and I got up a little early this morning, and got to our polling place right at 7 am. There were actually two lines, and both were already fairly long. In previous elections, I think we've always been 3rd or 5th in line - this time we were maybe 20th, if not more. Crazy.
I really need to get Photoshop on my laptop, since these days I spend most of my time on it and not my desktop. I think I've used it once in the last two weeks at least, and that is an all-time record. Problem is, it means that I haven't done anything with all my photos lately, since I'm plagued by laziness. Today seems like a good day to stay in though, so maybe, just maybe, I'll tackle them. I make no promises though!
