Happy Thanksgiving!

I took the day off of work yesterday, although a work emergency had me worried that I'd have to go in. Luckily though, I ended up not having to do more than a couple phone calls.

Marc and I ran some errands, and went to the store to pick up a few things for today. I tried my hand at making an ice cream pie last night, which turned out to be pretty easy to do. I made a coffee ice cream pie with an oreo cookie crust (which I also made - I rarely ever use our food processor, but holy cow, it can blend up oreo cookies like nobody's business!). I think it turned out pretty well, we'll see how it works in practice. So we'll be bringing 4 pies to dinner, which will be way overkill, as usual (although one of them is a sugar-free pie for my grandmother and uncle, who are both diabetic).

We spent the rest of the evening playing Gears of War 2 with Bill online. I think we were up until 1 am, which is as late as I've stayed up in a long time. Still managed to wake up reasonably early this morning though.

Time to watch some football and eat some breakfast! Have a good turkey day everyone!
